Rothay Garden wins “Best UK Hotel Brochure” in glittering London awards ceremony - 17/12/2008

The independently-owned Rothay Garden has beaten the cream of the UK’s hotel groups this week to win the prestigious “Best Hotel Brochure” award in the 2008 Hotel Marketing Association/CIM awards.

“To attract new guests to Rothay Garden”, said owner Chris Carss, “we decided to produce a brand new brochure, one that would prove so irresistible that people just couldn’t say “no” to coming to stay here”. The 24-page brochure uses bright new photography of the hotel and also features six pages of lovely Lake District shots as well as testimonials from journalists from across the country who have stayed at Rothay Garden.

In the awards ceremony, held on 15th December at the glittering Millennium Mayfair hotel in London’s Grosvenor Square, Rothay Garden beat off stiff competition, including the iconic Waldorf Hilton, to win the “Best Hotel Brochure” award. “I’m absolutely delighted”, said Chris Carss. “It’s great to hear some of the best marketing minds in the industry say that our new brochure is going to stand the test of time and work to attract new guests to Grasmere and the Lakes over the next few years”.
