  WALKING IN THE LAKE DISTRICT
The Lake District hardly needs an introduction when it comes to walking - the spectacular beauty and landscape of the Lake District mean it is ideal terrain for walking.  It provides the perfect location for walking breaks or simply a gentle stroll or a more strenuous walk on the fells.  The Lake District has walks for all ages, stamina and abilities.

The Lake District is host to a variety of walks and scrambles from mountains, such as Scafell Pike and Helvellyn and it's renowned 'Striding Edge' to waterfalls and isolated tarns, to one of the many more leisurely strolls around one of the lakes, the encapsulating beauty of the Lake District means it is a perfect haven for walkers.

There are a variety of walks from the doorstep of the hotel and we will be pleased to give you some tips.  For something a little more challenging there are no shortage of fells to tackle.

Alternatively why not hire a guide for the day and get them to tailor a walk to your requirements.

For further details on walks in the area why not visit the Lake District Outdoors website.
