The Lake District has something to offer every type of angler, with a rich diversity of fishing on unspoilt waters.   

All anglers must obtain an Environment Agency (previously known as the National Rivers Authority) Rod Licence before fishing any Lake District water. They are available from all post offices as well as the main tourist information centres, Fly Fishing Permits are also required and available from local Tourist Information Centres.
